Focus On the Basics

Hey there, Happy Fit Tip Friday!
So todayās tip that I want to share with you is to focus on the basics.
With so many diets and programs and new things constantly coming out, I know everyone is looking for a quick fix. But when you focus on the basics, those healthy habits that you want to instill each day, thatās whatās going to get you results.
What does it mean to go back to basics?
Eating whole, unprocessed foods that includes fruit, vegetables, lean proteins, whole grains. Think about eating a rainbow of colors.
Getting daily movement, like weight training to help build and retain muscle. Or even just striving to get 7k to 10k steps each day is going to make a huge difference.
Focusing on getting quality sleep by implementing a nighttime routine where you log off the electronics and have an ideal sleep environment (dark, cool and quiet).
Drinking enough water to ensure youāre not thirsty, which can sometimes be mistaken for hunger. The ideal amount? Enough to ensure your urine is a very light yellow.
Managing your stress level is also essential. That could be through meditation, journaling, doing meditative exercise (like running, biking, or swimming), or engaging in breathwork. Itās any activity that clears your mind and relaxes you.
Focus on these foundational basics. Thatās my Fit Tip Friday for this week.
