It's All About Mindfulness and Meditation

Happy Fit Tip Friday!

Having a good mindset is foundational to your overall health and wellness.

So how do you get a good mindset? It’s all about mindfulness and meditation. 

Meditation is a way to train your brain. Similar to the way you work out your body, you need to work out your brain and really focus on mindfulness.

Mindfulness will help you with everything — your relationships, how you approach food, your workouts, managing stress, all the things. When you practice meditation, it will improve your mindfulness and help prevent multitasking. Focusing on the task at hand, you’ll just be able to enjoy and engage in things so much better.

Mediation is the practice of mindfulness. If you haven't tried meditation, I highly recommend you grab a free app like Headspace, Insight Timer or Calm and go through a guided meditation. Start with 1 or 2 minutes, and remember that it’s not about completely eliminating your thoughts. It’s really about acknowledging your thoughts and then letting them go and just focusing on your breath.

And that’s my Fit Tip Friday! Focus on that mindset and if you’re not meditating, you need to get on it.
