Take The Time to Recharge

This week’s tip is around managing your energy. 

Many times, we feel like pushing ourselves even when we’re tired, or when we’re feeling drained.

It’s important to be mindful of your energy and how you are feeling. For example, if it’s 3 o’clock and you’re looking for that sugar fix. Perhaps instead, try this:

Take a walk outside.

Get some hot tea.

Do some breath work.

Try tapping.

Do a short meditation.

Perform an activity that will recharge you and your energy.

Similar to the way you plug in your phone when your phone battery is drained, we’re the same way. Our batteries get drained as the day goes on, especially if you’re in meetings all day, or you’re managing kids, family stuff, household responsibilities, the never-ending to-do list…all of these things that take energy.

That’s your tip for this week. Take the time to be mindful of your energy and take the time to recharge throughout the day. Don’t wait and push yourself to the very end. Take 5 or 10 minutes throughout the day to recharge. It will make a world of difference!
